Preface
We are governed by our thoughts and the best way to change our life is by changing our thoughts. The book is about identifying factors which influence our thoughts to find ways of creating a positive and robust thought process.
T.P.C is created after much research and observation.  The purpose of T.P.C is to make people take productive decisions as our success or failure depends upon our ability to take right decisions. T.P.C will help a person to take control of life, career and free himself from the shackles created by thoughts which become hindrance in achieving goals or making relationship work.
I asked my students in the university once “with whom you spend most of your time?” few replied, with their friends and few family however the reality is we spend most of our time with our selves and as  quoted by Socrates “An unexplored life is not worth living” we rarely reflect upon our life. Learning the art of T.P.C will help in understanding the functioning of mind and its influence on our life. Have you ever thought what made few people successful and many failures?  What makes difference between success and failure, between happiness and sorrow is the way we THINK. This book is for the people who want to be successful, live a happy life and contribute to the society in a positive manner. The only person who can change your life is you yourself and the only way of changing yourself is by changing the way you think. Our life is a gift to us and a very beautiful gift which is not to be wasted by being sad and disappointed but to live a life which will make us successful and happy.
The main goal of the book is to find a way for people to change their thought process by understanding the functioning of their mind and to get rid of dubious concepts which are based on fictitious assumptions.

Part One

Understanding Thought Process Control
Thought Process Control (TPC) is a technique to re-model the thought process of a person to make him achieve his goals and live a joyful life. TPC is a useful tool for removing the unwanted influence of erroneous thoughts from your mind and developing strong decision making ability. Emotions can be a person’s greatest strength or weakness, it depends how he use them, and TPC is a useful method of developing emotional intelligence.
The diagnosis of erroneous thought is the first step towards creating a positive thought pattern and TPC as a method is focused to find the causation of emergence of thought. The process helps to understand the thinking of the person and prepare a better strategy to deal with improper thoughts. The pattern can be best developed by understanding the factors influencing thought process. TPC works on three major parts which contribute to thought generation which is Brain, Functional Support System (FSS) and Conscious mind. The three major parts are analyzed and the facts which influence them for better understanding of thought process.
TPC is a different approach to understanding the mind and its functions than psychology and psychiatry. Although both the fields give inputs about the functioning of mind they hardly give a concrete solution to the problems. TPC is effective because it is developed by adhering to strict empirical principals. TPC has a complete system to analyze a person’s thought process. The main intention of TPC is to help people understand the functioning of the mind and thought process.
TPC beyond psychology, pseudo-psychology and psychiatry
TPC takes into context physiological, psychological and environmental issues influencing in the generation of a thought where as other fields take only partial aspects into context, psychiatry mostly takes into context physiological factors, psychology deals with behavior and pseudo psychology has no head and tail.
Psychology and psychiatry are both scientific fields however other scientific fields such as physics and chemistry can be tested in a laboratory and the phenomenon observed but this cannot be the case with human thinking, this makes psychology the least scientific fields of science as they are influenced by either perceptions or theories. Person’s thoughts are neither chemical nor metal to be tested in a laboratory but abstract terms which has to be understood by understanding each aspect which contributes in development of thought. The modern science claims to be empirical but has a great deficiency and that is, if they can’t prove anything they create a theory and expect people to believe in it and most of the time people believe in them because they are brainwashed in school, Colleges and by media to believe in science without questioning its findings. Big Bang and Darwin theory (Theory not law) has never been proven but has created mass appeal among the mob and intellectual elite. The modern science I call as halo-science, a post-science era. Modern Science has been exaggerated to such an occult level that people blindly believe in it, that makes science the biggest halo of our times. The Halo-Science which is in it self a defective field and one reason behind that is its research methodology. The way research is done is highly culturally influenced, few behaviors are normal for few psychologist and abnormal for few, depends if you are American or Arab. Science cannot be bound by culture and popular appeal it has to be free and based on concrete verifiable proves.

Psychiatry
Psychiatry many times depends on clinical symptoms to diagnose a mental illness as many mental illnesses cannot be tested as physical illness. Modern doctors and scientist who live in a self created narcistic scientific world find it difficult to accept that they don’t know ‘everything about everything’ however it hurts their ego to say ‘I don’t know’ and they try to treat every ailment with naivety and overconfidence. What they don’t find in their medical books they simply say it doesn’t exist. Many times the diagnosis of the psychiatrist is based on either self perception as they don’t have a clear cut definition of mental disorder; this was proved by the famous ‘Rosenhan experiment’.
I recommend a psychiatrist in case of mental illness generating due to physical ailments, accidents causing brain damage or problems such as hormonal deficiency.
Psychology
Psychology is heavily influenced by perception of its practitioners. There are too many schools of thoughts in psychology each contradicting other without any concrete philosophy to claim their findings. Human behavior changes with time and experiences and they base their research mostly by observing certain group of people who are usually western and try to apply those findings universally. There is Gestalt psychology, behaviorist psychology, humanistic psychology, existential psychology and many other psychological approaches without one direction. Psychology does not generally include study of physiology and a mental patient suffering from side effect of a drug visiting a psychologist has to bear long counseling sessions.
Pseudo- Psychology
As both psychology and psychiatry failed in many cases to give answers to phenomena related to mind it gave opportunity to many twisted minds to develop concepts which they call as science but has no connection to science. They all try to create a state of mind which is emotionally subtle however we have to get angry and aggressive in certain situations.
None of their claims have ever been proven and they create madness first before they make an attempt to cure it.

How TPC works?
TPC is a method to understand and change the process of thought. The main focus is towards one organ which is Brain and its functioning which we call as ‘Mind’. Each part of our body has a function, the job of eyes is to see, the job of ears is to hear and the job of brain is to ‘mind’. The functioning of the ‘Mind’ is again divided into two parts one is ‘Functional support system’ (FSS) and other is ‘conscious mind’. FSS is the mechanical part of mind which saves information and does activities to support conscious mind. Conscious mind ‘thinks’, it is the reflective part of mind. Apart from the function of body regulation by brain the other two functional parts are FSS and conscious mind.
What about sub-conscious mind? The Sub-conscious as a concept has confused many people because many of the psychological theories are philosophical concepts than scientific. Specially the term ‘sub-conscious’ mind is confusing and cannot be proven scientifically. It creates a wrong impression as people think there are two thinking minds and sub-conscious mind is more powerful. It is like a ghost who controls us however there is no such phenomena. There is no such thing as sub-conscious mind, it just doesn’t exist. It is a vague term given to make people feel that they are not in complete control of themselves but a part of your mind which is known as sub-conscious mind controls us, so if you have done something wrong then it is the sub-conscious mind just like in olden days it was the ghost which made people do what they don’t want to do. Scientifically sub-conscious mind has never been proved and I am sure will never be proved as it just doesn’t exist. We need to have a different perspective to this concept which is more compatible with rationalism. If sub-conscious mind exist, then which part of brain control’s it? The fact is sub-conscious mind is a misnomer, a miss interpretation and miss understood concept. Even Dr. Sigmond Freud disagreed with this concept, "If someone talks of sub consciousness, I cannot tell whether he means the term topographically -- to indicate something lying in the mind beneath consciousness -- or qualitatively -- to indicate another consciousness, a subterranean one, as it were. He is probably not clear about any of it. The only trustworthy antithesis is between conscious and unconscious." Instead of subconscious mind TPC defines the part of mind which is not able to think but act on impulses and are nature’s creation to support functions of conscious mind as ‘Functional Support System’.
Etiology of thought
A thought is generated in the conscious mind and is influenced by the functioning of Brain which in turn depends upon the functioning of various parts in the body and the FSS. In the first part we will understand how physical functions of body effects our thought process.
A thought is a mental process which will have a source. The source is an object or abstract concept about which mental processes take place. A thought is generated when conscious mind is active. When a source such as a physical object or an abstract term such as ‘love’ comes in contact with conscious mind a mental process take place which we call as thinking.
A thought is an exclusive function of conscious mind and ceases to function when conscious mind is not operative. A thought can be generated by many sources and influenced by emotions, body function and memory however the process is controlled by conscious mind. This gives a lot of power to conscious mind as it can change the thought process by controlling the factors which influence it and the ability to avoid or indulge with the source.
Once a thought is generated a series of reactions take place such as the emotional reaction, the body’s reaction and the recording of information which takes place in mind and there might be mind’s command to the body for any movement. The information of the state of mind is passed to the body through neurons and the body start reacting to it, if a man is thinking about his enemy, he may get angry and this information is passed to the body and they react to prepare for action if it happens. The chain reaction happens simultaneously and when the thought causes the generation of negative emotions such as stress or fear the body reacts to it and it may adversely effect the functioning of body. Negative thoughts will have negative reactions and will cause a series of reactions which are unwanted.
By changing the thought process we can control the whole reaction and create a positive reactionary process, for this we need to know the cause and pattern of the thought. We can change the thought process of the mind by remodeling the thoughts if it is already modeled by direct or indirect suggestion or in some cases altering the source or environment.

Part Two

Optimum System Function
Functioning of the Brain depends upon the over all health of the person and our thought process is significantly influenced by our physical health. Even slight changes in the functioning of our body will have its effects on mind.
Optimum System Function (O.S.F) is a concept which is based on the principle that thoughts get influenced by the functioning of various systems in the body. The way our brain functions has a direct impact on our mind and the functioning of the brain depends on the functioning of the body, they are all inter-related. When we say a person is having a healthy body we simply mean that all his body parts are functioning as they are suppose to. Mind and body have a relationship as cause and effect. Changes in body will effect brain, mind and vice versa. In fact the relationship of Brain and other organs is so close that we use the names of other organs to express our feeling such as ‘he loves her from his heart’, the functioning of brain and heart is very much inter related as the functioning of heart gets altered according to our thoughts and so does our breathing pattern.

As the body gets old we get weak and our decision making powers get diminished. Our genes are responsible for our ageing process and it is an evolutionary method of checking population, secondly as we get old our neuro function gets weak just like other body functions and hampers our decision making abilities.
Our body changes all our life and these changes have a profound affect on our body. When a baby is born its skull is not complete and only as the baby grows the bones gets attached to it, as in teens certain changes occur in our voice and as we grow older our body becomes week and we start loosing teeth and hair. All these changes in body also changes how we think and feel.
Brain is an organ which is part of the body and mind is the functioning of the brain. If any part of the body functions improperly then it affects brain thus eventually affecting the mind. Pain is the only way body and mind communicates. Pleasure is perceptual, eating frog might be a delicacy for some people but for some people it is disgusting however if you hit any person they feel the same emotion ‘pain’ which generates from the body. A body is like a machine and it works to enable you to think and do other activities and if this machine does not work properly then it has an effect on the persons mind. The mind reacts to every experience and the functioning of the body creates reactions in mind such as hunger will be reacted with the action of eating food.

There are many factors which influence the functioning of the brain such as the external environment, diet, functioning of other organs however the most significant factors which can be used to diagnose the functioning of brain activity can be deduced by the functioning of the three key areas which depends on the proper functioning of other organs and are the most relevant to the activities of brain and they are genetic function, hormonal function and neuro function.

The formation of brain as an organ is dependent on the genetic make up. The organs function as they are made to function however their capacity can be changed. This is one basic concept on which the organs are formed and start functioning and the second reason is the environment the person lives in.

Hormonal function greatly influences the body and the functioning of the brain and finally the function of the mind.  The improper secretion of hormones can be due to organ malfunction however eventually it effects the functioning of the brain and mind.

Neuro function is the most significant function which is related to brain activity and all the functions depend on them. Perception and the body’s reaction depend on them.

Genetic, hormonal and neuro functions depend on the optimum system function of the body that is all the system’s such as musculoskeletal systemurinary systemlymphatic systemimmune systemrespiratory systemreproductive system and nervous system. If any of the system mal function it influences the hormonal and neuro function instantly which in turn will affect the thought process.

Genetic Function:

Genes are the significant contributor to a persons mind development. Genes are nature’s evolutionary mechanism which helps in a species adaptability to environment and these traits are transformed to the offspring for better survival. Your gender, color, blood group and most importantly your body mechanism which is precisely your organ or system function depends upon how your genes are coded. The traits are saved in parents genes and transformed to the offspring, the quality of the organs and their functioning and system depends upon the quality of the person’s genes. Although the genetic function is the most important contributor when it comes to survival of specie but it can be fatal and destructive when the genetic function malfunctions. In terms of evolution a specie has to survive environmental changes and the body has to adjust to these changes and what ever mutations occur is saved in the species DNA and transformed to the offspring and this helps in the survival as the offspring are prepared to face the conditions however the DNA also works as an information recorder, it records the diseases the specie suffers. DNA is vital in the organ function, as your genes decide what size and capability your organs should have. If the genetic information is coded with certain diseases then that trait may be transformed into the offspring. Genes can be damaged due to toxic or radiations which may cause many genetic disorders or development of weak systems in body.

All these factors influence your mind and especially the organ function. If the genetic make up is weak and the organs are not capable to handle environmental challenges it directly affects your mind. Although there are other factors as well when it comes to functioning of your organs but genes play a vital role as they set the blue print of how your organs should function. The organs of a persons body has to work in an optimum manner for the person to live and work. If any of the organs fail to work in an optimum manner then it creates a chain reaction which will affect the way your mind functions. Each organ has a specific function and it works in a system. We do not feel most of the functions which take place in our body such as the functioning of our kidney or pancreas. The organs work silently till there is a point of danger, the formation of kidney stone does not give any signal to the conscious mind and till the stone is big enough to block urine or create bleeding. The kidneys function normally and when there is an actual blockage the neurons transfer this information to the conscious mind and it induces pain to make conscious mind act to remove the stone. The body tries to self heal, the immune system combats the sources of diseases and the body only communicates with mind when it fails to counter attack. Body as a machine is a very intelligent design however it is just like a machine and only the mind has the capability to think and perceive. The body only reacts in a mechanical manner in situations, it does not react when a kidney stone is formed as it cannot think that this is a source of danger but it reacts when it interfere with its functioning.

The organs also react according to situation. When a person gets angry his organs will secrete more glucose and increase the blood pressure how ever this system may malfunction and the body may secrete more glucose and increase blood pressure making a person angry as in the case of patients suffering from high blood pressure.

The quality of organs and their functions depend on your genetic order. If the genetic order is weak and the organs developed cannot sustain the stress then it is inevitable the person will become unhealthy. The organ function directly effects how your mind functions.

Improper functioning of organs results in brain passing the information to conscious mind and the conscious mind reacts in some emotional manner to each situation. Organ functions should always be monitored as they don’t communicate till things go out of hand.

The way to counter this problem is by evaluating the person’s genetic history and work towards strengthening the organs or systems which are weak.

Hormonal Function:

The hormonal function is an important contributor to our mind and body function. Important functions such as reproduction and growth are completely dependent on hormonal changes. Hormonal changes have a profound effect on mind. Mechanism of hormones plays an important role in psyche, in case of stress the adrenaline plays a key role, insulin play a key role in metabolism,  Serotonin plays a key role in regulation of mood and many other hormones regulate our body functions.

Imbalance in hormonal secretion and function will have an obvious effect on mind. Hormones affect mind by altering moods. We are always in certain state of mind and that state of mind is regulated by the mood we are in. Mood is understood as an emotional state of mind however it is much more than that, it is a state of mind which creates a feeling which is either ‘positive’ or ‘negative’. Many times people say they like doing something but don’t have the ‘mood’ today but when you ask them, why?  They can’t explain as they have a negative feeling at that moment. Body functions in a very silent manner, we don’t feel how our organs functions however when something goes wrong we feel pain. When there are hormonal changes we don’t feel them as they are internal body functions however it creates state of mind we call as ‘mood’.  When the hormonal balance becomes out of order then the person may get into an unwanted state of mind which may eventually make him depressed. Hormonal changes affect the temperament of a person. A woman in menstrual cycle may change her temperament and mood due to hormonal changes.

One of the major psychological effects of hormonal imbalance is towards psycho-sexual behavior. Psychologists very often get confused with such behavior as they try to find a reason in the experience and psyche development of a person however it might be just because of hormones.

Hormones influence on the mind is in the following manner:

1)    Excess secretion: When a certain hormone is secreted excessively it effects the physical functioning of the body and ultimately mind. When insulin is secreted excessively leads to hunger, feeling weak and shaky and when a function of body becomes imbalance it also imbalance a person’s emotional stability. If a person has to work in these conditions then he will become irritable and angry very often.

2)    Insufficient secretion: Insufficient secretion of certain hormones influences a person’s health and mind. Lack of growth hormones among children such as Somatotropin may cause growth related disorders such as pituitary dwarfism.

3)    Irregular Secretion: Irregular secretion of hormone in the body develops certain symptoms such as secretion of estrogen in women which may lead to mood swings.

Hormones major effect is on the state of mind. It alters moods which may cause extroversion or introversion. Our social life and relationships negatively gets influenced due to hormonal imbalances. The hormones may influence a person’s self-identity, the physical changes occur in a person due to hormonal changes. Various stages of life such as childhood, youth, middle age and old age happens because of hormonal changes. All these changes effects the way a person perceives himself and his self identity.

Hormonal changes among children if normal lead to natural growth however if there is deficiency then it may cause improper development of brain and thus cognitive abilities. The hormones among the male child and female child develop in a different manner. A girl’s development when it comes to communicative abilities is faster than the boys in early childhood.

Adolescence happens due to hormonal changes. An adolescent’s perception, thoughts and self identity changes with the changes occur in the body and it also changes the behavior.

Middle age is the time when certain hormonal changes start taking place which causes loss of stamina, appearance of grey hair and menopause among women. This time might be irritable among certain people as their stamina gets weaker but the pressure of work and responsibility may increase causing them behave and get angry quickly.

In Old age the hormonal changes makes a the person’s organs to become weak. People suffer from various ailments and their senses may not work. These hormonal changes affect their thinking capability.

Hormones have a profound effect on thinking process, as we start ageing the hormonal changes occur in our body and this affects our cognition and memory.
Neuro Function:

Neurons are cells in the nervous system which process and transmit information by passing electro chemical information to different cells in the body and most importantly to the conscious mind through brain via spinal cord.  It uses electrochemical signaling to pass information. Various Neurons are designated for various functions such as sensory neurons which react to the touch, sound, light and numerous other stimuli of the sensory organs , Motor neurons  causes muscle contractions and affect glands. A stimulus is needed for neurons to respond and they pass the information of the stimuli to the central nervous system, which processes that information and sends responses to other parts of the body for action. They communicate to other cells or neuron by sending a chemical called a neurotransmitter. As the neurotransmitter reaches other cell or neuron it binds to a receptor, passing the information to the cell. All body functions are controlled by neurotransmitters controlling it, this make neuro function a very important contributor to mind functioning.

The neurotransmitters give constant information to the mind. Brain’s reaction depends entirely on how the neurons pass the information to the brain. The neuro function helps us to react to external world and informs us through pain when there is any danger.

The pattern of neuro function is as follows:

1)    Stimuli Stage: This is the first stage where they react to external or internal stimuli.
2)    Reactionary stage: This is the stage where neurons transmit brains instructions to the organs for action.

The neurons give the basic information upon which thoughts are built how ever a neuron can also send wrong information or may not take instruction of brain to the organs. A healthy person needs enough number of neurons to maintain day to day activities. Some of the diseases caused due to neuron dysfunction are Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease.

The brains communication with its different components depends on neurons and if the neuro function is not proper then the brains looses its ability to communicate effectively with its other parts.

When we think the neurons transmit the information to the brain which in turn acts upon these inputs. Neurons are very important link between thought and brain function, if the person thinks of food this information is passed to the body to react.

The most significant impact on brain and mind if the neurons are damaged is to the mental alertness. We start loosing control as in the case of alcohol and drugs which directly affects the nervous system. When a person looses mental alertness then his actions get out of control like a person who is drunk cannot walk properly as his neuro function is not in control. This also effects how neurons react to the impulse of pain, even though the stimuli may exist but the neurons may not pass it to the brain.

Motivation has a direct link to neuro function. A person feeling hunger gets motivated to eat however if the neurons doesn’t pass that information of hunger to the brain the motivation to eat food does not come to the person. Classical conditioning is one example of neuro-cognitive motivational link, when the bell is rung the neurons take it as a stimuli and pass it to the brain and then take the instruction from brain and certain physical changes occur such as the mouth gets watery however if the neurons fail to pass this information of the bell ringing to the brain the whole process will not occur thus the involvement of neuro function when it comes to motivation is significant.

Body movements and our ability to communicate are controlled by neuro function and this is proved by the fact that when there is damage to certain parts of brain then it affects our ability to communicate. Most of our communication happens non-verbally as the neurons pass the information from thought to the brain and then to body to react. As the body is like a machine it reacts in a certain fixed manner such as when a person gets angry the neurons send the signal to the body parts to prepare them selves. Certain crucial change happens when a person lie as the neuro function is pre-set. A man laugh, cry and fear in a natural body reaction however when there is no reason or the person wants to fake it then the brain increases neuro activity and the body reacts in a manner which is not natural, perhaps this is natures evolution to let us know when someone lies to us. The senses used for verbal communication is as well controlled by neuro function and they respond to stimuli.

Pain is the most important communication between body and mind and it is done using neurons. The mechanism is very important when it comes to combating diseases however the impulse to brain to cause pain comes from neurons and when the neurons malfunction then the pain may be caused due to no reason. The physical Pain is the system of the body to alert mind to take action. If you keep a knife on a persons hand and push it slightly he will feel slight degree of pain and the more pressure you put more pain the person feels. If the hand is cut into pieces the person will scream with excruciating pain. When slight pressure is put on hand with knife there is hardly any danger but when the hand is cut then the blood flows out of the body putting the life of the person in danger, the pain matches the intensity of the attention required. Pain is a mechanism created by nature to take action and a warning. Imagine if the pain is same when the slight pressure is put on hand and when the hand is cut then the person may not take any action. The neuro function controls the mechanism of pain.

Thought process information is transferred to brain for reaction however the whole process can be hijacked by neuro function. Although a thought may not occur but the neurons may pass information to brain to act in a manner when that thought would occur such as the body reacts with fear with no reason and when the person is in such state of mind he starts thinking about things which caused him fear. At each instance the mind will have certain states and in certain situations the state of mind might be in a unique state such as the death of a loved one or fear of death and at this stage the body will also have a certain state. The neurons may make the body be in that state thus reminding the person of that instance and making him depressed. Such neurological dysfunction may lead to anxiety and schizophrenia.

Brain uses neurons to communicate with mind and other parts of body, it is one of the major contributors to thought process.
Part Three

Functional Support System
We discussed earlier about the misconception and poor definition of the so called ‘sub conscious’ mind. There is no such thing as sub-conscious mind which can be verified by science and that is the reason it is better to scrap such a term which creates confusion. Functional Support System (FSS) is functioning of the brain which assists conscious mind for its cognitive functioning. FSS is one of the functions of the brain and the three most significant functions of FSS is memory function, auto function and urge.
FSS plays a supportive function to cognitive activities of conscious mind; it also helps in de-stressing as it takes the burden from conscious mind in the form of auto function.  It plays a vital role as it records and generates memory. The thought process depends on FSS.
Memory Function

1)    Information Storage Mechanism:
Our mind constantly experience changes which occur around us either through senses or by thinking process. If you stand on top of a building and observe the traffic on the road the FSS saves that information with sounds, visuals and feeling you have at that moment. A specific moment which alters your state of mind is precisely recorded and every time you encounter such a situation the information is retrieved by the FSS. If you are observing traffic and a red bus hits a person and he is injured on the road and your emotional reaction is intense fear then the FSS every time you see a red bus may retrieve that information and gives impulses to body to react in a manner a person would do when in fear.
The FSS records things as a file and the file contains:
1)    Sensory Information: The file record how your senses react to the information and this is how the concept of language develops in mind. The FSS records information in terms such as visual, acoustic or sense of touch.
2)    Emotional Reaction: The emotional state of mind at the moment of experiencing an incident is recorded such as anger, fear, love or sadness.
3)    Thoughts: The way your conscious mind defines the experience such as good, bad or don’t care.
4)    Relating: The psychology of relating is important. The information has to go in the specific area in the mind which deals with objects related to each other. If the mind sees a pigeon egg it relates and compares that information with the previous experience of encountering a chicken egg. In the same way if a man is bitten by a dog and that experience is recorded in the FSS as ‘Dog-fear’ then every time he sees a dog he may react with fear even though the dog might be friendly as the mind relates the friendly dog with recorded information which is as dog-dangerous. Every shape, emotions, thoughts are compared and related with the already recorded information and then stored in the mind.
2)    Information retrieval:
The stored messages are retrieved for the conscious mind to make decisions. If the conscious mind thinks about eating food from a place close to the home then the FSS retrieves information about the shops and restaurants close to the house for the conscious mind to make decisions. This basic function takes place most of the time what ever thought comes to mind the FSS retrieves information related to that thought. Our communication is entirely based on the information retrieval mechanism, when we talk our FSS retrieves lingual information in the form of language which we use to communicate.
The FSS also stores things which are time bound. If you think about some issue however that issue is unsolved such as ‘why these things happen to me?’ ‘Why he did this to me’?  The thought is flashed again and again by FSS. The mechanism is to make you take action on those things which have significant influence emotionally on you however the thought or emotion may be flashed of a bad memory making a person feel helpless, de motivated and depressed. The major cause of mental illness is the retrieval system malfunction where the thoughts and emotions are repeatedly brought back to conscious mind which makes the person depressed such as if a family member died and the information about the dead person and the emotions attached to it is retrieved repeatedly then the person reacts in the emotional manner and gets depressed.
We act specifically on this system of information retrieval and what we term as madness is nothing but malfunctioning of information retrieval system. A person in a mental hospital may be termed as mentally ill because he laughs without any reason because he is in a state of mind where the information retrieved is to make him laugh however he looses sense of social environment or how people will react to such a action as the mind does not retrieve information about social reactions making him unconscious of such things. The same things happen when a person is drunk and the information retrieved might be of a specific emotion and the person starts laughing or crying loosing his mental capability to think how people react to his actions. A person may say certain words repeatedly because that is what the FSS retrieves. The information storage is a complete set of files which contains information related to senses, social norms and behavior and when the information is retrieved however if one component is missing then the person behaves in an erratic manner such as if a emotional state of mind is retrieved like ‘anger’ then person will get angry however the social norm is not retrieved then he gets angry and behaves in an irrational manner. In the same way certain lingual information may be retrieved and no other information and the person repeatedly says those words. The retrieval can take the person in a state of mind where he looses his self consciousness and act upon the information which is retrieved.
Forgetting is another important part of FSS. We come across lot of information around us and the mind makes us remember only those which are relevant however it may record all the information around us. If a person is crossing the road then his mind focuses on the car which is coming towards him and record that information more precisely than other irrelevant information. The mind can also make us forget things which we want to remember and it is one of its mal functions. What ever we interact or experience the FSS records and certain instances in life we would like to forget however the mind retrieves that information.
Our mind is always in some emotional state. When we are in certain emotional state we get thought related to that state of mind. If a man is sad then he will get thoughts related to that state of mind and his behavior naturally is programmed to the state of mind. If a man is in the state of mind of anger then he will react in that state of mind to the situation, a person who fought with his wife in morning and come to office in the state of anger behaves in a rude manner as he is in that state of mind. All the information retrieved might be related to anger and he may pick quarrels.
Auto Function
Auto function is a crucial function which helps us do multiple tasks. If a person is driving a car to his office using the same route everyday then his mind acts in a manner where the FSS drives the car and the person might be thinking about something without consciously driving the car. The actions or reactions which we do repeatedly or train our FSS to do then our FSS does it automatically without waiting for our conscious mind to give suggestions, a child might be very cautious when he takes his first steps to walk however when he becomes confident then the action of walking becomes auto function which happens automatically.
The thought process has direct link to auto function, a person may think about drinking water and may give that suggestion to mind and later the person may start thinking about some other thoughts but his body automatically moves to the fridge, grab a bottle of water then drink it and in the whole process his mind might be in some other thoughts where as his body is in auto function. A person fantasizes that he will act and behave in a certain manner and as soon as he comes across such a situation in reality he may act in an auto function state. Conflicting auto functions happen when the mind is trained in certain manner and it gets used to it and then if you try to bring changes and the mind has to be retrained and this may cause irritation. A person who is use to eating with his hands is given a spoon to eat which he is not used to may find it irritating as his  FSS is not used to it and when the person is trained to eat with spoons for a long time and asked to eat with his hands may find it irritating.
Emotional auto function, a person might be trained to get in an emotional auto function when he encounters certain experiences, persons, concepts or things. A vegetarian might be auto functioned to react with disgust towards non-vegetarian foods; a person might be auto functioned to hate Jews and every time he sees a Jew he starts getting into an emotional auto function of hatred. Most of the emotional auto function may not be as per reason or the person himself may know that his hatred or love has no reason however he is auto functioned emotionally to react in that manner. A very common auto function is phobias or fear of certain things, although the mind may rationally think that there is nothing to fear of certain objects however the auto function may make the person react in a fearful manner. Emotional auto functioning happens mostly in early childhood, if the person is emotionally made to react in certain manner say ‘fear’ of ghosts in darkness then he carries that emotion when he sees darkness and when he is lonely and get into emotional auto function of fear although there might be no reason to fear as his mind is auto functioned to fear darkness. Conscious mind communicates with FSS in an emotional medium. A person may think and even talk favorably or unfavorably about certain things however his emotions might be different than what he thinks or talks about. A person may think of reducing his weight strongly and even verbally communicate this to himself however emotionally he desires to chocolate and as he sees chocolates on the table in his house he starts eating them in an auto function state and after he finishes he may say ‘why did I do that’? This happens because the emotions has stronger influence on FSS as the body reacts to it. Auto function and behavior pattern, when the mind is trained to act and behave in a certain auto function state and that auto functioned state is changed constantly or the out come of that particular auto functioned state is changed then it creates a neurotic behavior pattern. If a rat is trained to press a button to get food then the rat gets auto functioned however if certain times when the rat press the button and it gets an electric shock then it creates a conflicting auto function which may lead to neurotic behavior.
Fixation and auto function, mind sets certain limits and we get auto functioned to it. The quantity of food a person eat is fixed in the FSS when that person repeatedly eats the same quantity and later the auto function take over and when ever he eats he is made to eat that amount of quantity however if a person gets habituated to overeating then that limit is fixed in FSS and the person doesn’t get content till he eats to his limit. Sleep is another form of fixation, a person whose FSS has fixed the amount of time he should sleep then if he doesn’t sleep to that limit he gets uncomfortable. Fixation has a greater influence on time, the time we eat and the time we have to do certain tasks are fixed into auto function and the FSS reminds us at that specific time to act. The time we wake up and the time we sleep are fixed auto function and when we are not able to follow the routine we feel uncomfortable. As certain auto functions gets fixated in mind it becomes very difficult to remove them and some times even if they are removed but a separate auto function fixation is not induced then the person goes back to previous fixation, one example is of those people who try to reduce weight they may control their diet till their weight get into control but as soon as the weight is under control and the person leaves the control over his mind then he again goes in fixation state and eats as per the limit set in his mind. Emotions play an important role in fixation, those auto functions which were set with strong emotions are difficult to change.
Auto function is a crucial part of conscious mind and it save time to train mind again and again to do the same thing. A resistant auto function may create conflict with conscious mind such as a person who is used to sleeping late however the conscious mind wants to wake up early for work but this may create conflict. Overall the auto function is a useful tool to do multiple tasks if trained in a proper manner.
Urges

An urge is a feeling generated by FSS to communicate with conscious mind to act on certain impulses. It is a forceful feeling and ceases only when the urge is fulfilled or completely curbed.  The action which the conscious mind takes depends upon the intensity of an urge; certain urges are very strong and can take the form of pain if not fulfilled. An urge can be to do certain thing or not to do certain thing. The urges depend upon the impulse, the more the impulse from mind more the urge. The urges might be physical in nature as the urge to urinate or the urge might be intellectual as the urge to a habit such as gambling.
The urge mechanism of FSS is very crucial as a survival tool, till we learn how to gather food and what is good or dangerous for us the urges helps us to survive and guide us to act in the nature. Our objective mind is pre set with certain nature such as the fear of certain organism and height. A baby will fear the sight of a crocodile that is by nature dangerous however it may not show same emotion when it sees a plant. The initial urge a child has is to help him to survive.
The urges can be divided into two parts Instinctive urge and non instinctive urge.
Instinctive Urges:
The instinctive urges are pre set in mind and as soon as the child is born the urges starts, one of the first urges is to suck for milk. The urge to seek company, the child cries when left alone and this is one of the instinctive urges as the child can be in danger as it cannot defend itself. The urge to walk is another instinctive urge, the child tries by crawling and try to stand and the urge only stops when the child starts walking.
Social urge is another instinctive urge. The urge makes us to make relationships and live in groups this helps in survival as specie. Loneliness is an unwanted state which makes us depressed and we try to over come this by communicating with others. This instinct is crucial as it helped us create social norms.
Specie survival urge, the instinct to survive a group is greater than the individual survival instinct. The instinct to give birth and rear children although this puts individuals in greater risk and hardship is one of the strongest urges. The urge to be violent to save the group is as well greater, we fight wars where we put our self in danger however the urge is to save the specie or the group we live in.
These urges to live in group, procreate and conserve is one of the basic reasons our subjective mind creates concepts such as God, as this gives a moral justification to create rules and regulations for social order.

Non- Instinctive Urges:
Non-instinctive urges are the programming of the instinctive urges in a certain manner. This is a trained behavior which cause changes in the way our body functions and becomes dependent on certain substances or habits.
The instinctive urge is to eat food to survive and non-instinctive urge is to eat only particular food such as burgers, this is a learned behavior as conscious mind communicates with FSS about its likeness to eat burger when in hunger, these two messages get coded in FSS in the memory function. When ever the person gets hungry he may feel an urge for food he likes although that may not be good for his health. The urge is the programming of the instinctive urge.
The non-instinctive urges are trained by the conscious mind and it may be because of the group pressure. A group may suffer from an addiction or appreciate it and to be part of that group the person may start mimicking such behaviors which may latter becomes addictions and cause strong urges. A group of drug addicts would allow a person to be part of their group if the person start using drugs and the person may start using drugs only to be a part of that group which may later become an addictive urge. We have an instinctive social urge however to comply to this urge the person may do things which the group wants to do. Most of us try to achieve the goals set up by the society is to relate it to those groups in the society.
Non- Instinctive urges may become stronger than instinctive urges. They might be self destructive as well as the FSS is not the thinking part of the brain and it may cause such urges when subverted that might be dangerous for a person’s health. Non-instinctive urges can be useful if the programming is done as per the nature and good habits are induced.
Part Four
Conscious Mind and Thought
Thought process is the functioning of the conscious mind. Brain and FSS plays the support role. Thought is an evolutionary development to survive by changing according to situations by understanding them. Consciousness is an alert state of mind to perceive and think. The conscious state of mind alters according to the alertness.
Conscious mind is influenced by many external factors such as culture, family and geography and internal functions of the body. Unlike other parts of the body which work incessantly, conscious mind needs proper rest to have mental alertness. Cognitive activity is an important part of consciousness as it has to be stimulated or else a feeling of boredom is generated. Boredom is a source of much illness as the mind wants to get indulged in a more interesting thought activity. Rest and cognitive activity are two most important factors in proper functioning of the conscious mind.
There are three major factors influencing the thought function and process and they are reasoning, command function and the formation of self identity. By understanding these three functions and changing them we can create a chain reaction which will help us to live a happy and healthy life.
1)    Reasoning
2)    Command function
3)    Ego

Reasoning
One of the main functions of the conscious mind is reasoning. Reasoning helps us to ‘understand the phenomena’ and over all it is an ultimate supremacy and survival tool among humans where as among animals it is only survival tool. Human beings are supreme on earth because of the ability to reason, this made us control other organisms for our benefit, develop process and combat enemies. One race of people excelled over others due to their reasoning abilities which might be in a particular sector such as commerce or science. Reasoning among humans is different than the reasoning abilities of animals, a rat can reason that pressing a certain button in the cage will give it a reward however the reasoning ability of humans is much greater, they make a cage and make rats do what they like by their reasoning ability. Reasoning is core ability as the humans are not content with survival, there is an inert drive linked to ego which makes man quest for supremacy. Reasoning is influenced by many factors such as the information passed by the senses, perception about the object such as if you like it, it will look good or vice versa or how others reason. The reasoning can be flawed when it comes to abstract terms, we all agree that mangos come from the trees and rain from clouds as this information is derived by our senses and the phenomena remains same and it is universally excepted however which God is real or existence of devil or which economic system is correct is not universally excepted as these are abstract thoughts and cannot be verified.
Intentions play a great role in reasoning ability, we reason based on our intentions. If the intention is to cause harm to some one then the reasoning will be to portray that person as evil or if we want to prove a phenomena in science then we use arguments which will support our point of view. Reasoning is influenced by core values and believes of a person, religion and culture plays an important role in development of core values and believes. Culture is a strong contributor to reasoning as it changes with time and environment where as religion cannot usually be changed as the scriptures are fixed or some times scriptures are changed to be compatible with time.
Reasoning is conscious minds major capability to make a person successful and live a happy and content life. This one capability is a powerful tool to module your thoughts as you want. Much depends in your life on your reasoning ability.
Conclusiveness
To reason we need to come to the conclusion about the observation and when we conclude that information is saved in our FSS by memory function however when we are unable the come to conclusion and our thoughts hang in the middle the FSS creates an urge and a feeling of confusion and discomfort is created and we finally come to a conclusion.
Can we be certain that what we know is perfectly correct? Absolutely not, we get information through our senses and they are not the perfect source of information and that is one reason that we constantly change our views about phenomena as we see in science. The theories and laws are often refuted and new ones are developed and we can never be sure which one is right. The senses are weak, eyes can only see to a certain level and we can hear to a certain frequency.
The pattern usually is that we get some information from stimuli; stimuli can be both tangible which is perceived by our senses or intangible stimuli such as an abstract thought and our objective mind creates an urge to come to a conclusion as it records things according to the sector in the mind. To over come this discomfort the person comes to a conclusion. Conclusions might be delusions, much time it is the tendency to come to a conclusion which makes us to believe in certain things although they might be against reason and this is done to avoid hassle of facing an urge.
Reasoning and coding, as we observe the phenomena we code them to save information about them and come to some conclusion as what they are. If we see a creature and we code it as ‘monkey’ that code doesn’t make that organism as monkey it is simply a name which doesn’t give information of its evolution but helps us to understand and save information about our experience with that creature. We only document things and name them.
The conclusive mechanism of our conscious mind is important for making decision. We need to make and come to a decision in life to take action, the conclusiveness makes us take decision in time and go for action. While hunting an animal we need to come to a conclusion that the distance we are from the animal will be enough to kill it or not and based on this decision we through our spear and kill it if the conclusive nature of our reasoning does not exist then we would not be able to come to a decision in time. The conclusive tendency of reasoning is an important contributor to our decision making, right or wrong we need to come to a conclusion to take a decision without which we cannot take action. The conclusiveness demerits are that it effects our decision making when our reasoning is wrong.
This reasoning ability is one factor behind our success as we take decisions right or wrong and learn from our mistakes but take action.
Comparative rationale
Reason is affected by another phenomenon which is comparative rationale. We usually perceive our self and our believes in a positive manner and keep our selves as a parameter to judge things and reason about bad or evil.  A person who believes in a particular religion will think those people who them. Those things which we believe are seen as right or good and what we hate or dislike as do not believe in his religion are committing a sin or following a wrong ideology. This tendency to keep self as a parameter to judge others is a key factor contributing to our reason however this depends upon our self perception. Comparative rationale has great influence on our emotions and feelings, we tend to blame others for problems we face due to they being different or have different set of believes, culture or religion. The blame may turn into hatred and leads to conflicts. The other form of comparative rationale is we compare our selfves with some one whom we regard as an ‘expert’ or ‘guru’ and we believe what they say without questioning. Parents are the first influencing factors and their words have more influence on child. Then comes teachers, doctors, scientists, philosophers and anyone a person thinks as an expert he tend to believe in him. The ‘guru’ or ‘expert’ is linked to our self perception and we regard only those people as experts or gurus who are compatible with our believes. A person may visit a homeopathic doctor as he regard him as an expert because he believes homeopathy is the best from of medicine or goes to a priest of his religion as he may think he has spiritual powers however he may not give this kind of importance to priests of other religions. Comparative rationale is widely used in our day to day life to reason.

Conformity
It is our very nature to live in a group as a community and we form communities only when we have common values. The community forms certain norms and values which the person has to follow if he wants to be part of that community. The norms are supposed to be based on reason and all communities claim to be the most reasonable. The person’s reason is influenced by the cultural or ideological or spiritual norms created by the community. A person in a liberal community may reason that live in relationship is not wrong how ever a person from a conservative society may see it as a sin. The conformity has great influence on reasoning even though a person may know that certain laws or norms are wrong however he supports them to be a part of the community. This phenomenon can be observed in the ideology of nationalism, a person may support his nation even though it might be unjust to other nations because he wants to be a part of the community. Our reason is influenced by the community we live in and we tend to support them as opposing them would make us leave that community.
Morality
Our thinking is mostly in terms of good and evil. Our self perception is attached to the concept of morality and guilt is a feeling we get when we violate moral laws. Morality is a learned concept however some morality comes naturally such as honesty, our body reacts when we lie by increasing our heart beat and breathing pattern. We are taught to follow certain morality and when it conflicts with natural urges it may lead to breaking of moral codes and then making us feel sad as the moral codes are attached to our self perception such as ‘I am a good person because I follow certain morality’ however when we break moral codes or face a situation where we have to break moral codes we get uneasy and may even suffer from guilt.
Command Function
The conscious mind is the most powerful due to its ability to command other parts of the body to its ‘will’. This is a part which ‘wills’ and makes body act on its command. There is no part in the body which can command itself, they work according to nature as we open eyes we see things or if we hear a sound we cannot avoid hearing however the conscious mind has the ability to make our body act as per its will, it can close eyes or make us move from the place from where an unpleasant voice comes from. The ability to ‘will’ in humans is much greater than animals, animals ‘will’ to fulfill basic necessities but human ‘will; goes beyond that and we achieve things by ‘will’. The will or the ability to command can be effected by other factors such as damage to body or objective FSS mal function however the command function has the ability to solve problems.
The command function work on the principle of motivation, we need some motivation to command. The motivation can be either to seek pleasure or avoid pain. Motivation will be effected when a body part is damaged or the FSS mal functions such as the FSS is auto functioned to act in a certain manner then if the person suddenly changes his command then it may take some time to accept the command till the mind gets re-modeled however a person with motivation has the capability to act and achieve his goals. Proper management of command function is the key factor in achieving goals. Direct suggestion of mind is usually accepted by the body and sub-conscious mind however there are times when direct suggestion is not effective due to its conflict with FSS and in such cases indirect suggestions can be more effective as the communication between conscious mind and the FSS is done metaphorically. Phobias and nervousness can be dealt with using indirect suggestions.
Motivation plays a key role in command function and motivation usually comes from emotions, the emotions of fear, jealousy, anger, love and many such emotions are attached to the development of motivations in the mind. When a person is not emotionally engaged with an act then his energy levels will be poor and it affects the performance, well being and task. Stress is a major cause of disease due to lack of motivation in work place and relationships. A person can work for ten hours a day if he enjoys it and if he is not properly motivated then even ten minutes becomes stressful. As the mind has to give a negative command to do things which the mind doesn’t want to do and this generates negative emotions which leads to stress.

Command function is regulated by our mental alertness, when we loose alertness of mind it starts affecting our command function. In the state of intoxication the mind looses command control function to a level and the person acts upon his emotional state of mind .The command function can be given to another person as in case of hypnotic state of mind or when a person is trained to act upon other persons command.
Ego
Ego is an experience of self perception in consciousness. We feel things when we are awake by comparing them with our self; Ego is an abstract recognition of self and it ceases when the consciousness becomes inactive. The feeling is generated when we interact or feel self or interact with other people or things. Based on this very feeling our perception depends. This is a feeling which helps us to recognize our selfves with others. An ego is an essential part of existence, the ‘self’ should feel something before it perceives it either physically or intellectually however when we cannot perform this function properly it effects our perception.
The ego comes into existence as soon as we start feeling things, a child when comes in contact with the world (This feeling is generated while the child is still in the womb) this creates an identity which makes a person understand things. One of the first feelings is physical in nature, we understand things by comparing it with our body, and if something touches our hand we realize that thing is not our hand. This feeling develops when we are born and we start evaluating us with those people and things which come in contact with us. The initial ego is mostly developed due to the physical necessities of the child. The very first concept of self is generated by the concept of pain avoidance by need fulfillment. At this stage the ego only wants to fulfill needs and neither loves or hates, if a 10 day baby is not fed it cries but shows no feeling of hatred if milk is not given but its ego is only about wanting things to fulfill need. As the cognition grows the child start wanting things based on his liking and gets attached to certain people whom he likes.
When the person grows he starts recognizing his ‘self’ or an abstract thought of what he is. The way people treat him and the environment he lives in influences his perception towards ‘self’. Something has to come in existence and you have to feel its presence before you perceive it and ego is that existence, our feeling makes us feel our self and based on this feeling we develop our perception.
The ego of a person is to safe guard him from others who would challenge his existence or his position in society. The ego is the first step towards self identity; it has to be recognized before the identity is created.
The way we treat our self, set our goals and behave with others depends on how we identify our self. We are not born with a self identity it is created with time and experience. An identity is created in the mind of a person and based on that identity he plans his life, emotions and relations. A person with poor self identity who perceives himself as a failure may not set high goals. Self identity is the most important reason behind a person’s success or failure. If a person has to be changed the first thing which should be changed is his self identity, if a person thinks he cannot do it then he won’t do it. Self identity is created by the influence of the environment a person lives in and how he perceives such environment. A person living in a racist environment may himself become racist or he may reject that concept, environment plays a key role in a persons self identity and the environment is created by the first family, schools, nation and various other factors.
Self identity is created by ego and our perceptions. The perceptions lead to creation of values and beliefs which in turn becomes a thought process. Self identity is again depends on our reasoning and the factors influencing reasoning.
Our self identity depends on how we perceive our self and the world around us. The perception is the greatest source of influence on thought process. The perception is influenced by the environment we live in and by our thought process.
 Induced Perception
Induced perception is a kind of perception which is copied from other people. We perceive things as other perceive it. Induced perception is initially done by parents as they have the greatest influence on children. This kind of perception is instrumental in development of self identity; the way others perceive the person he may perceive himself in the same manner.
The perception of God is the most common induced perception and the person born in certain family will follow the perceptions prevalent there. Government’s propaganda, schools and media are all source of induced perception.
Reflective Perception
Reflective perception is a kind of perception which is generated by the person judging things based on his experience than basing his perception on others opinion. This kind of perception is the key reason behind the changes that occur in science, politics or religion. Reflective perception is important to make us take decisions which are rational and beneficial to us than following dogmas created by others. Reflective perception can help us to create a better self identity and self perception which is not influenced by bias.
Reflective perception can be negative as well as some people may perceive in a negative manner such as in a non-racist society a person may reflect and perceive himself superior than other races.
Reflective perception is useful when done in a positive manner to take rational decisions.

Part Five
Practicing T.P.C

The thought process model helps us to understand the source and cause of the thought. We can diagnose the cause and prepare a plan to remove the source of negative thoughts and improve thought process.
Brain function - FSS- Conscious Mind
When any of the systems of the body does not function in an optimum manner then it affects the brain function and the state of body function will be in the same mode as some of the emotional state of mind such as fear or anger and FSS retrieves thoughts related to the emotional state of mind. The changes happen either due to the genetic build up of our body or due to improper function of a system.

FSS - Brain Function- conscious mind
Functional support system retrieves information in terms which may have sensory, thought and emotional information. When such information is retrieved, both the conscious mind and body reacts to it. An incident which may have caused you much fear in childhood and every time you come across such an incident you may start feeling fear and your body may react to it. Most of depression related mental illness happen due to this particular function when a person takes stress then FSS records it and retrieves it as something important has to be dealt with. The thought occur repeatedly although a person may try to avoid it making him depressed such as the memory of a dead family member or a painful incident in mind is repeatedly flashed and makes a person stressful.
When a person trains his mind to do an activity which helps in releasing stress then that information is either recorded or if the mind is auto functioned then an urge is created by FSS to do the activity such as smoking and drinking. People get addicted or habituated to certain substances or activity to have fun or reduce tension and every time the mind feels bored or stressed the FSS brings back thought to the addictive habits and creates an urge to do it. When a person wants to leave such an addiction then he try to train his mind by giving direct suggestions which causes more stress and increases the urge, instead a person should first stop getting stressed about the addiction.
Conscious Mind - Brain function- FSS
This is the most powerful part of mind as it has the ability to ‘Will’. The thoughts which comes to conscious or what it perceives gives a trigger to both brain- body function and FSS. The conscious mind reacts to thoughts, things or feelings of others or self and the manner at which it react the body and FSS tries to co-ordinate with it.
When our conscious mind gets emotional or stressed due to an incidence or person it effects both body and FSS and if repeatedly done then it starts effecting the body parts as they get stressed out leading to ill health. We cannot control the world around us but if we can control our reactions we can live a happy and a healthy life.
Structuring ‘State of Mind’
The ‘State of Mind’ plays a crucial role in minds ability to deal with situations. The state of mind is your emotional state, we are always at some emotional state and based on the emotions we react and think. A state of the mind might be generated by physiological, FSS or conscious state and when the person is in a particular state of mind his actions and behavior is influenced by it. A person in the state of mind of ‘anger’ may react in a situation in an aggressive manner.
Emotions are generated either due to a physical function or a reaction to thoughts by conscious mind. They are very much automatic if a person starts thinking about sad incidence in life he gets a feeling of sadness. Emotions are important part as we understand world with our emotions, we either like or dislike people, we hate or love, our happiness or sadness depends on emotions. Without emotions we would be like a stone however we need a rational approach towards emotions as they are vital for our success and failure.
Our survival depends on our emotions and so does our progress. Imagine if we don’t get the emotion of fear when in danger or we don’t feel sad when some one close to us dies. Although emotions are important however they can by conditioned in our mind and we may fear, hate, and love things just because the way they are conditioned.
Each emotion is generated by a different cause originating due to various reasons, one example is as follows:

Anger
Anger is your natural emotion to express your feelings of frustration and displeasure.
Brain:
When the body becomes weak or there is a hormonal change then we need to take rest and if any thing causes us irritation then we get angry quickly as it is a natural mechanism to express that we cannot take any more stress.
FSS:
When we are auto functioned to react with anger to certain situations then when ever we come across such a situation we automatically get angry.
Conscious mind:
When we reason and anything which collides with our reason and we may think it is unjust and get angry.

Each emotion takes us in a state of mind where we act and behave according to the emotional state of mind. Many people suffer from melancholy and depressive thoughts because of pre fixed morality and high expectations from life. Sadness in situations is not wrong however moderation is the key to emotional control.
Structuring the state of mind can be done by changing those views and values which are enforced on you which creates an unwanted state of mind, improving health is important as the body may act as if it is in a particular emotional state which happens when the thought creates such a state and FSS may generate memories based on the physical state and lastly the company the person keep, spending time with people who have poor ‘state of mind’ or who are depressive will have a significant influence on your state of mind.
Rationalism:
Rational thinking by reflecting on the best possible emotional reaction to a particular situation is key to emotional control. Being sensitive to issues and preparing a rule for sadness or happiness such as ‘I will be happy if I get this’ or ‘I will be sad if this happens to Me” is setting up your mind to get into emotional pain when things doesn’t happen your way. It is better to break such shackles and take life as it comes by being mentally strong and this can be done by pre setting your mind in a rational manner.
Positive thinking is a highly misrepresented term and has become a fad. If a person jumps from a plane without a parachute and thinks positive then it is a foolish act. Irrationalism is the main reason behind emotional pain. A person needs to be rational in situations by reflecting the best possible way to solve an issue.
Family and work place can be better managed by understanding others emotional capability as some people cannot take stress beyond a point or they have pre fixed mentality. It is better to be rational and optimistic than irrationally positive.
Trance Function
The state of mind is deeply influenced by the trance function. A trance state is when we are in a certain level of mental state and our actions and behavior is governed by the trance. We may either be conscious and observing however not in control of our actions or we may be completely not conscious and unable to remember what we did.
The reasons for a trance are mainly the ‘hidden desire’; you get into trance because you want to get into that state of mind. Feelings many times has to be curbed and this creates an urge to act and we counter that by curbing them, this intensifies a war of feelings inside us and in certain situations this desire takes us in a trance.
The kinds of trances are as follows:
Induced Trance:
This kind of trance takes place when we allow some one to take control of our state of mind as in the case of hypnotism. We go several times in a hypnotic state due to the suggestion of others. When some one gives us a suggestion or tell us a metaphor we may go in a hypnotic state of mind and act or behave accordingly and later realize that we should not have done that.
Self- Induced Trance:
This kind of trance happens when a person curbs his feelings to an extent that he acts in a particular situation in a completely erratic manner. If a person dislikes someone however avoids confrontation this leads to a inner desire to take revenge or violent which the person tries to subjugate, these feelings in a particular situation may make the person in a state of mind where he becomes angry or violent and may later has a feeling ‘why did I do that’.
Perceptive Trance:
This kind of trance happens when a person perceives an abstract object to be reality. A person may believe that the ghost or God or some holy object is influencing him or his life. This perception may take him in a state of mind where he behaves in a particular manner. This may happen due to stress where a person feels relieved by going in a state of trance.
TPC implementation procedure
The major nine contributors to the origination of thought are to be focused to make the thought process function in a manner which is more beneficial to us.
Genetics
The genetic function is like the control system of the body and the mutation which occurs has its own limits. In certain cases where a part of the brain is not properly formed may lead to retardation and other serious mental ailments. We can hardly do anything to deal with such adversities, perhaps in future we may find some way of dealing with them.
The genetic function can be effectively managed by the Geo-Genetic Diagnostic Approach.
Geo-Genetic Re-modulation:
The genetic system is formed to make an organism survive in a particular geographic environment. A camel can survive in a desert but not in snow laden mountains and in the same way a penguin survives in cold but not in the heat of the desert and the reason are their genes.
Mass migration of human beings from one area of the world to another and bringing their culture and food habits which may not be in accordance to the geographic conditions of the area is one of the biggest reasons behind physical ailments.
The white people are more likely to suffer from skin cancer if exposed to sun for a longer period than black people because of their genetic system.
The whole system should be re-moduled to suit the geographic condition which is more suitable to the body. Avoiding or minimizing those activities and food which is not suitable for your body-type is one good way of controlling the effect. In the same way there is physical capability to face stressful and emotional situations, it is better to asses family health history and develop the medication and life style pattern which is more suitable to the genetic system of the person, unfortunately the dieticians and physicians usually advise similar diet and medication to every person without focusing on the genetic history.

Hormones:
The secretion of hormones has specified functions and they happen at specified times. The hormonal function is a genius design to keep the opposite gender dependent on each other. The male hormonal function make men more suitable for combat and sustain physical stress to face the challenges however the female hormonal function is more suitable in rearing children and understanding emotions. The world and the culture formed puts males and females on the same platform and they have to work and live in a similar fashion however just like their body function their hormonal functions are formed to be more compatible with certain jobs and responsibilities. The worse effected are the women who are made to work and live like a man just to be equal to man. This put more emotional strain on them as at times such as menstruation and pregnancy they go through hormonal changes which affects the way they think and behave.

There are two ways to manage hormonal function as the hormones influence emotions and emotions influence hormones they are:
Managing hormonal secretion:
Excessive or inadequate secretion of hormones can create a disturbed state of mind and lead to mood swings. Making the functioning of the hormones in a proper fashion is a key to thought control. Medication or Meditation both are good ways of controlling improper hormonal secretion.
Emotional management for hormonal function:
Our emotions influence our hormonal function and one way of managing hormonal function is to manage our emotions. Avoiding people or situations or carefully making a will to control emotions is one way of controlling hormonal functions.
Neuro- Function:
The neuro function is crucial for the avoidance of pain and for healthy living. Improper postures and pain due to physical ailments or unhealthy life style should be avoided for better neuro function.
Stimuli Management:
Neuro function usually requires stimuli to pass the information to the brain which in turns act upon the information.  Managing stimuli which influences neuro function is important to manage neuro cognitive function. Negative stimuli which will lead to an urge or pain is to be avoided.

Memory re-segmentation
Each thought or experience in life is memorized in the mind in a particular segment, the segments are created based on the society we live such as ‘get sad when you fail to get a big car’ or the natural instincts such as an accident. The segment contains information such as our emotional state of mind, reaction and sensory experience. When the information contains certain depressive thoughts and they reoccur constantly or memory of traumatic experience which has turned into phobia is better managed by re-segmentation. Memory in mind is divided into segments where the appropriate information is stored and that information is tagged as either good or bad or joyful or sad. Memory contains information in a certain segment of mind where all the depressive and negative information is stored and the person should shift the information to another segment of mind where the information will not be very stressful. Re-segmentation can be done by pondering upon the information stored in mind by either taking it with new perspective or if it has turned into phobia then by repeatedly doing a thing with good sense of humor and in good state of mind.
Auto Function:
Auto function of unwanted habits or activities can be changed by constantly forming a habit which is done to form another opposite auto function however it only works in a state of mind which is not stressed. Certain people who suffer from drug addiction or a severe habituation to a certain substance may need support of other people or counseling.
Modern professional counseling lacks spirituality or a genuine concern towards the subject this makes counseling not very effective. The counselor needs to create an approach which should not specifically have materialistic motives behind counseling. A person needs to give love, care and attention to the suffering person and if a family member or friend can do this then it will be helpful in managing emotional auto-functions.
Urge:
An urge may become auto function. Urges can make people do things which they may not like to do or know that it is not right but still can’t control. Urges may have many reasons however immorality or loose values lead to a person substituting natural urges to pervert urges.
There are two ways of controlling an urge either have strong will power and with much emotion give suggestion to mind that you will not do such a thing again.
Some people fail to form strong will or they try but again revert back due to urge and for such people ‘reverse suggestion’ is more effective. The person should give a suggestion to self that he is taking the urge in a very light manner and do not care about it or simply remove stress attached to the urge then give mild suggestions to self such as he doesn’t like the particular activity any more. This is done to break the emotional attachment with the urge and to undo its intensity.

The power of Conscious Mind
5 thought process to unleash the power within you by changing your reasoning, command function and perception.
The art of TPC is a commitment to make your life successful and happy. The best part of TPC is that it works; it can be used in our day to day life to make us live a healthier and a happy life. There are five thought processes which will make your Brain, FSS and conscious mind in an efficient manner. The conscious mind has an ultimate power to bring change in your life; if you can change your thinking pattern you can change all negatives into positives in your life.
Only the conscious mind has the power to ‘think’ and five thought processes which work on bringing five particular changes in us is to unable us to ‘think’ in a rational manner and to be emotionally under control.
Our thoughts to be converted into actions depend on our ability to suggest our selves and the five tools helps to be in a state of mind which is not influenced by negative factors.
The five thought processes are as follows:
1)    Think to ‘Will’
2)    Think to create ‘Optimum system function’
3)    Think to create ‘Negative thought intelligence’
4)    Think to ‘Stop Erroneous Thoughts’
5)    Think to Create ‘I’
Will:
The will of the conscious mind is a powerful weapon which can be used to achieve your goals. Every person who can ‘will’ has the potential and is less than none. The principle is to ‘will’ and ‘command’ by controlling our thoughts and channeling them as we want will give us control over our body and FSS.
Will, not wish:
Why can’t people become what they want? Because they only wish, not will. What ever you want to achieve make a will by commanding a statement such as ‘I will do this’ and not ‘I want to do this’. Once you have made your main ‘will’ then make a strategy as what you need to do to achieve the ‘will’ then follow these three steps:
1)    Write down or make a statement in your mind about what you ‘will’
2)    Prepare a time frame to achieve the goal.
3)    Spend time thinking about your goal and it will be recorded by your FSS and remind you. Make an emotional thought related to will as emotions are key in goal management. More the emotional intensity more you will try to achieve the goal.
Many times we fail and failing is important as we learn more things and get experience and help us to make the process right. If you fail then start again and if needed follow the steps but don’t give up. World’s most successful people’s single most great quality is that they never gave up when they failed, to ‘will’.

Optimum System Function:

TPC implementation is a process to create a strong thought process which would help you in taking decisions and living a happy life which can overcome stress and challenges faced by a person in life. The root of thought related problems originate when a person ignores the causes. The first step would be to diagnose the cause which might be either due to brain function or due to lack of system function or FSS or the functioning of the conscious mind. We will take each part to first diagnose and then implement TPC.
Optimum System Function:
The first step would be to make sure the body is functioning to the concept of ‘Optimum System Function’. As per the genetics our organs would be formed and so does their capability however if the challenges in life are more than the system capability it will lead to putting excessive stress on the functioning system and organs which in turn makes the whole functioning weak and would lead to system mal function and thus put a person in anxiety and emotional instability. All this can be overcome by using thought process and making your body work optimally.
Source of Energy:
The first step is to change the source of energy; nothing can substitute healthy food, clean water and fresh air. The contents of your food are the main cause of illness. Most people fill their stomach however the need to have balanced diet remains.
Food:
The food we eat today is mostly as a routine time based activity which should taste as we want. The taste develops based on the culture we live. Although oil is important in cooking however high quantity of oil is mostly used which is bad for health. With availability of food the in take is increased to a high level and fat in food is as well over the limit this makes the digestive system and other systems work to exhaustion making the whole functioning of the body weak.
Food which was supposed to give energy when taken improperly makes a person weak and lethargic and leads to system mal function.
Water:
Water is a drink which has not much taste in it and which is used to quench thirst however we drink less water as the physical activity has gone down. Liquid diet such as fruit juices are good source of energy however things like alcohol is a  slow poisoning drink which mess up with neuro function and spoils health.
Air:
The largest source of energy is oxygen; we can live without food or water for days but cannot live without oxygen even for few minutes. Oxygen is essential for our well being.
Exercise:
Our vital organs cannot exert them selves they need body movements for exercise. Body has no mechanism to burn excess fat apart from exercise or dieting. The only way to increase stamina is to increase physical activity.
Implementing ‘Optimum System Function’:
Optimum system function can be implemented by making the commitment to follow five steps.
5 steps:
1)    Do physical Activity you enjoy:
When we were kids we enjoyed physical activities as we made it playful, imagine a five year old boy is asked to work out in gym, will he be interested? Some people enjoy gym, good for them however those who don’t then they should find what they enjoy, it can be swimming, jogging, football or cricket. What ever you like but make it a principle that you will work out for at least 20 minutes a day and then if you like you may increase the time.
2)    Eat food, not poison:
Every culture will have food which has merits and demerits.  The best thing is to decide as a family to enjoy food but by avoiding those things which would cause us harm. Initially it will be difficult however with time you will get auto functioned.
3)    Drink enough water:
Drinking excessive water or drinking less is more dangerous. Drink water according to your body type but make sure it is not less.
4)    Change Fixation:
The amount of food and drink are both auto functioned, the way it is auto functioned change it by re-auto functioning it by suggesting and fantasizing ‘I don’t enjoy eating more food as it used to be’. Think more about eating moderately and give suggestion that you no longer enjoy over eating. When you eat food while re-auto functioning make sure you are not stressed or else it may not work.

5)    Discipline:

Make a routine of your life; take rest as per your body requirement. An afternoon nap would be good to refresh you and a good night sleep would do wonders. A good breakfast with chunks of healthy food at intervals will limit excess food at times of major meals.
When the stamina of your body increases so will the thought process and your energy levels. This is one key in making the genetic, hormonal and neuro function work optimally.

 Negative thought Intelligence:
Negative thought Intelligence is a very important tool which helps us in survival and taking pre emptive action. It is the most important tool in taking the right decision however when we are not able to manage and understand its functioning it can become a hindrance in taking decisions or sticking to decisions after taking them.
Why negative thoughts?
A decision should be balanced and it should be taken by taking into consideration by analyzing both the pros and cons. Imagine if we take a decision without any negative thoughts? The decisions will carry a lot of risk. Negative thought s help us to prepare strategies in war and business by thinking what our competitors would do and how we would over come them.
Two steps to manage Negative Thoughts:
Step One:
Channeling Negative Thoughts:
Negative thoughts start coming to the mind when we think about something. Let them come without getting stress or panic and then verify and based on that make your decision.
Putting a full stop:
The main problem with negative thoughts is when they occur again and again even when you make a decision. Auto function your mind by thinking you need no thought and you have made your ‘will’ however the thought may occur even though you may make your decision then just ignore them without getting stressed or by smiling as if you are confident to handle. More stressed you get more negative thoughts will occur so relax and take it with good sense of humor and later it will have no effect on you.

Stop Erroneous thoughts:
Minimizing the memory of a bad experience or an unwanted event in our life is the most significant part for happy living. We become sad because we think about something bad which has happened to us and the sad thoughts rob from us our energy and well being. Our FSS when filled with unhappy events retrieves that information making us even sadder. In fact we cannot completely forget the bad experiences however we can stop or minimize the reoccurring of such thoughts from our mind.
The depressive thought comes to mind because of various reasons however we can change all that by creating an environment where occurrence of such thoughts gets erased.
Finding the reason:
1)    Find out first the thoughts if they are coming due to mal function of physical functioning or mind. If you are a patient of ailments such as high blood pressure or suffering from weakness then try to minimize such conditions as the FSS when your body is in certain state of mind retrieves information related to it.
2)    If you live with people or environment  where they remind you of painful past then try to either avoid them and if you cannot then start a process of reflecting by thinking ‘ why should I spend my life in sadness due to other people’ and ignore them.

The FSS holds certain amount of information and retrieves it and when some information is given lots of emotional importance then it is retrieved repeatedly. The best way is to fill as many happy moments as possible by indulging in activities you enjoy and spending quality time with friends and family and old memories will get lighter and new happier memories will be filled and this information will be retrieved. Face the problem, discuss with your self what best action to be taken and what is good for you than pondering about bad memories and spoiling your today. Avoid loneliness and spend quality time.

Creating ‘I’
Our self identity develops based on the society, culture and our perceptions. Majority of the attributes related to self identity such as values, religion, name and cultural norms are given to us and we hardly analyze or verify if it is rational to follow them. Having a poor self identity or a narcissist perception of self can be a cause of poor relationship with others and the reason for an unsuccessful career. Poor self-identity will lead to guilt, nervousness, lack of confidence, depressive thoughts and poor goal setting in life.
The creation of ‘I’ or self identity has many influencing factors however it is always other people who will leave a profound effect on the self-identity of the person such as parents, teachers and people whom the person perceives as experts.
The self-identity is linked to the group you belong to, we always want to be part of a group and we make relationship with other groups based on our values and advantages. The first group is usually not selected such as parents, they have the most significant influence as they fashion the thoughts according to their believes and values. The way parents treat their child in the same manner the child perceives himself as he trust them. Those parents, who insult, differentiate or give less emotional support to their children will develop poor self-identity among them.
The pattern by which the ‘I’ is developed is emotional and based on others perception such as a three year old boy is told ‘you are a nice boy’ and the boy perceives himself as ‘I- nice boy’ and if the parents say repeatedly ‘you are not as good as other children’ and the boy perceives himself as ‘I-inferior to other’. The pattern changes when the children grow and it becomes mostly task based such as a teacher says ‘You are intelligent if you get good marks in class’ and the child perceives himself if he is not getting good marks as unintelligent as others. The second pattern has significant influence, society sets some parameters to judge a person and failing to achieve those parameters will lead to discrimination. Those people who fail to fulfill the parameters see themselves usually in a poor manner and those who fulfill will go in a state of mind ‘then what’, they constantly need to prove them selves to be a part of the society.
One excellent way of improving self identity is to involve self in charitable activities. Helping others deeply effects the way we perceive our self and help us in getting rid of guilt and is one of the best way to spread happiness.
The self identity can be changed by simple four steps.
1)    Self Evaluation:
The main reason behind self evaluation is to develop and correct our self. The self evaluation may have certain negative and positive attributes about us. Those thoughts and actions which are unwanted and a barrier to the person’s development and well being have to be remodeled.
We need to first know what kind of self identity we have. Usually people see themselves in a very good light and as if faultless and would blame others for all their lives miseries. The person needs to spend time with himself and recollect how he was treated in his childhood and what kind of circumstances and atmosphere he has to face when he was growing up. Did he become extrinsic or intrinsic? Does he think about himself as confident or under confident? Does the person consider himself to be successful or failure? Does he see himself as a sinner or a virtuous person?
When the self identity gets attached to certain values or emotions then that lead to compulsiveness and when the person cannot live life based on the self identity then he gets upset or when others act and behave in a manner which is not compatible with his self identity then the person will find it difficult to adjust with them.
The self evaluation should be based to find out our weakness so that we can over come them. We should do this regularly as no one can be sure that he is perfect this mental exercise will keep us developing our self no matter what age we live in. We spend all our life thinking what others think or feel about us but hardly any time reflecting about self.
Each thought is like a coded message which is linked to our self Identity which we use to compare things or emotions which are good or bad. Thoughts lead to chain reaction. One depressive thought will lead to other depressive thoughts. When people’s self identity is attached to certain values and ambitions which are fixed in mind then they become compulsive about them. It is better to have flexibility and situational decision making which will help us to be happy and successful.
2)    Commitment to self
Commitment to self that no matter what happens we will face the challenges of life and be happy and although certain times we may be hurt and sad but we will never allow this to overcome us is an important step towards creating a positive self identity.
Even if we have done something wrong or were unsuccessful at some point however if we stay healthy and happy we can correct our self, achieve our goals and help others as well. The commitment and thought about staying happy when enforced on mind will help to develop our self identity. This can be done by a direct suggestion and to make it more effective spend time with self appreciating and thinking about positive things such as ‘why should I waste my life for others’, ‘I will live only once and I want to be happy’, and even if a negative thought comes to mind ignore it.
3)    Rational thinking
The main cause behind poor thought process and self identity is irrational thinking. When a person follows values, religious dogmas and cultural norms with out analyzing them then it leads to unnecessary conflict and expectations from others. Having a rational thought process such as do we need to suffer just because something has not gone as we planned will help us to develop our self identity which is robust and able to face challenges. Don’t do things just because your parents told you to do so, if you find certain religious rituals or cultural norms unwanted don’t do it.
Irrational thoughts lead to an emotional instability as we start expecting from self or others what is not compatible with times or situations and get sad about it. One important step towards rational thinking is to think how we should emotionally react. Irrational thoughts are usually the reason behind emotional trouble, ‘I will be very angry when this doesn’t happen my way’ or ‘I will be sad if my son doesn’t pass with A grade’. It is as if training your mind to behave in a certain manner although it might be bad for you.
Conclusion

Nature has given us the power to change by just changing our thoughts; TPC helps us to understand the formation and thought functioning for better management of thoughts. A thought can be both useful and harmful but the important point is we have the capability of selecting the useful thoughts. The only difference between man and animals is the ability to think. The thought process in humans is the most advanced and that makes us superior to all living beings and I think this puts us in a responsible position.
We can do wonders for self and others by changing our thought process. TPC practitioners can help others and give them hope and guidance in difficult times. Our conflicts in the world are all due to wrong thought process and if we can change the way we think, we can change every thing.
There is no point in learning any thing good if you don’t put it into practice. Once a man was passing by a garden and he saw another man very sad and he went to him and told him ‘why are you so sad? Why don’t you read the book ‘how to be happy’ by Dr. Albert’. The sad man looked towards him and told ‘I am Dr. Albert’.  There is no point in knowing anything if you don’t put it into practice. T.P.C will only be effective if you put it into practice, just like any art which needs practice to be perfect in it.
The thought process has a direct connection to the society or more precisely the system we live in. We can do a lot by changing people’s thoughts, customs and cultural norms which are not suitable for civilized people.
Mahatma Gandhi once said You can chain me,you can torture me,you can even destroy this body, but you will never imprison my mind’. The last part I find interesting of this quote which shows the confidence of this old man who won freedom for his people without shooting a single bullet ‘….you will never imprison my mind….’. Our purpose should be to seek freedom from ignorance, narrow mindedness and unwanted habits and let us take our decisions and control our life and let not anyone imprison our mind.

The Philosophy of Heroism - Zia Husam

The Philosophy of Heroism by Zia Husam  Preface God is Dead, atleast in secular terms we have murdered God and replaced God with the concept of a ‘Leader” as we humans believe that we have the ability to overcome any challenge. The Human Leader of the modern world is the pinnacle in the history of civilization. We have conquered every thought which made us feel inferior to God and now we believe that we are no less than God in fact we govern by our laws and believes.  This book is about understanding the perception of a person and what I think is the ultimate conflict of human kind which is a never ending battle of Leaders and Heros. Leaders here I mean are men with no divine backing but people who wish to overcome the challenges of life and existence, they may be great contributors to the development and well being of mankind but they are rebellious self confident beings. The other side is a Hero who is again fighting for the good of the pe...

I

"I"  A philosophical treatise on perceptual errors  by Zia Husam "I" does not exist it is created. it is like a painting, some are beautiful, some are ugly however all painting are created. An illusion we call "Self", I. We are defined by our families and society, we live in,  and put under shackles of dogma and never ending run for achieving what "they"call as "Life" and more precisely "purpose of life". Reality is, as conscious self, we can never come to a conclusion of what "that" - "other" is? If we see a glass (other object than self), we realize glass is not "I". So what is "I"? A mere comparison with our eyes. We compare our self using our senses to the world and come to a conclusion what is "I" and what is not "I". Heavy, light, big, small, strong, weak-- Everything has to be compared with "I" to distinguish. A society comprising of family, religion...
